EVIDENCE SUBMISSION TO THE WCSO FORENSIC LABORATORY

All evidence submitted for processing to the WCSO Forensic Laboratory will be signed for by the Criminalist working lab assignment that day.  Once evidence processing is completed the Criminalist will return the item to Property Evidence and sign it off as returned.  The only exception to this will involve those items incorporated into Latent Print Case (LPC) files.  These items will be documented and permanently signed out by the Criminalist, and indicated on the property evidence receipt.

Criminalist processing items of evidence will document their results in writing to the investigating case officer.
