You regularly see requests by editors of periodicals for readers to send in their opinions or comments for consideration of publication. This is different! First, you are not just a reader here. You are a property and evidence professional, which makes you a colleague of our Association President, possessing similar goals and ideals. Also, as a member of the International Association for Property and Evidence, Inc. you are part owner of this magazine, which is the Association's voice. Your contribution is solicited not for debate, but to assist in the effort to further professionalize property and evidence management. Second, letters you write to the Evidence Log aren't to the editor, but to our Association President. Whereas an editor frequently just exchanges opinions with readers trying to "win" arguments, our President will conduct dialogues with peer professionals, all with the common goal of furthering the profession. Third, rather than writing solely to promote an opinion, your letters can be to share the solution to a common problem, to ask a question of the President or of the other professionals who read and contribute to this magazine, or to offer an experience from which we can all learn to do our job in a more professional and efficient manner. Please write! Weare looking for varied and creative input to help us
all do our job more efficiently, more easily, and more enjoyably. Tell
us what you want to see in the Evidence Log.
